Sacramento, Symposium, Finals Week…[How am I alive?]

March 6th, 2009 | 3 Comments | Posted in Blog by Diego

As part of the UCLEADS (UC Leadership Excellence through Advance Degrees) we are required to attend a research symposium in UC Davis tomorrow morning. What for? To present research we have conducted while in the program to other scholars from UC campuses and faculty. Exciting? Sounds like it but it gets me pretty nervous! I’ll post updates of the event later on.

Things currently working on

Aside from about to enter finals week at school, things are going pretty hectic. I’ve managed to learn how to use PHP, Postgres, and pgAdmin III to create a website that interacts with a database. I’ve managed to create a session for a user and give the user the ability to register, sign on, amongst other features. Pretty neat. I’ll post details on how to do that soon.

I’m also planning on acquiring some means of programming for the iPhone so that means either a Mac Mini or a Macbook. Any suggestions? Or donations perhaps? I’ll be posting details how that goes as well.

So meanwhile, why not check out pictures from my trip while I catch some ZZZzzzzzzs!
