Simply sign up for the beta, it is open to everyone. I received an invitation within two days. I then installed the software, ran it on my pc, and seconds after I had PlayOn! capabilities on my XMB within my PS3.

If you have been following the Talk Binary posts, you might remember that Diego made a post about the
Fox, Sheep, and Cabbage Game. Well, in the last two weeks I have been developing a spin off to that same game. It’s called Piranha Plant, Wario, and Coin Game. The logic of the game is easy. Don’t leave the Piranha Plant with Wario and don’t leave Wario with the Coin.

Here is a screen shot of the main menu:

My main incentive for making this game was to demonstrate the use of OpenGL and SDL on Windows. For that reason both the Compiled game and Source code will be available for download. With it you can easily edit images, and make your own changes to it. While doing so we encourage you to ask question in our forums as well as post your modifications. I hope everyone enjoys this! You can find the source code in our forums in our OpenGL board.

Instructions on how to play the game:

Click a selection block to select a character to go onto the floater.
Hit Spacebar to toggle between Selection mode and Go! mode.
When in Go! mode use Left click to move floater Right and Right click to move floater Left.

That is pretty much it.

Here is the link to the game & source code, Enjoy!

Use your PS2 controllers or Dancepads on your pc

It’s simple. Simply buy the Dual Shooter which runs for about $20 on Ebay or over at Play Asia. Once you receive it, rip the packaging apart, place the mini-cd that comes with it and install the drivers. After that, plug in your Dual Shooter adapter via USB, make sure the switch is on PC, then connect either the controllers or dancepads and your PC will recognize them as game pads.

After doing so, you’ll be receiving great response with no lag. You won’t be dissapointed!

Where to buy?

Simply buy the Dual Shooter and the Dance Pads on Ebay. I thought it was the easiest and cheapest solution. Or you can check out Dual Shooter at Play-Asia or check out the StepMania website to find the pads and dual shooter. Found a cheaper option? Post below.

What to do with the Dual Shooter?

Use them to play some old school emulation, Stepmania, or anything else you could think of. Tell us what you use them for.

Having problems?

Simply install the drivers again, plug in the dual shooter and restart your computer. That should fix the problem.

The M3 Simply is an Adapter for the Nintendo DS. If you have a DS and haven’t heard of this cartridge before, you are missing out on extra features and compatibility for your Nintendo DS. This adapter will make your DS more like a PSP if you will. The M3 requires a Transflash SD card in order for you to store the files for the system it uses. It supports up to 2GB of Transflash media which is a good amount for the extra features that you will gain from this adapter. It comes bundled with a Transflash card reader but not with a card for some reason. This is the M3 Simply:

The extra features that this gives a DS are the following.

MP3 Player

Movie Player

Super Nintendo Rom Support

E book Reader

Hombrew Support ( which may add extended features )

Playback of backed up DS Games

This is the ultimate accessory that you can purchase for a DS simply because it adds such great features that Nintendo missed. With the ability to play back homebrew games the options are unlimited. There are already emulators made for the NDS that require such an adapter and from experience I can say that this chip is without a doubt reliable. This chip is one from the popular M3 Series.

Try one out and unlock the power of your DS!

Different Online Stores sale them for different prices. However the price range is usually from $30 to $40. I bough mine for about $40 a while back ago. The new version ( M3 Real ) will be more around this price range because the M3 Simply might be out of production. This is where I bought mine:

Jeff Gerstmann was dismissed from Game Stop after his immediate publication of the game Kane and Lynch. Apparently his “fair” review didn’t please the publishers which put pressure on Game Stop to do something about it. Well, sure enough Jeff got fired. Several lead reviews followed suit thereafter.

Soon after his termination, rumors of a game review site were immediately set afloat. Then Giant Bomb appeared!

Giant Bomb

Below is Giant Bomb’s description of their own site alongside with a picture:

From top to bottom, Giant Bomb is a collection of dudes who freakin’ love video games. Our editorial team has collectively played and written about video games professionally for over 30 years, and they’re not looking to quit anytime soon. I mean, what else could they do at this point, really? We’re based in scenic/expensive Sausalito, CA, and we’re part of that whole Whiskey Media posse, which includes a strike team of unnervingly fast and efficient engineers and business guys.

Final Impressions

It’s the Google + Wikipedia of Video Game Reviews! This is something you can’t definitely miss out on! Each game is accompanied with a video review, wiki style page, accepts user comments, reviews and submission and so much more! In other words, these pages are like shrines for the game you wish to play! So why wait? Join the already 20,000 members on their site and start adding, and modifying content!

How long have we been waiting for a new Duke Nukem game? For over a decade that’s what! Now guess what they are giving us today? A trailer! But wait…Is this really it? Watch it to find out! Fans over at Joystiq attack humorously at this video and same goes for the GameTrailer’s website! Check it out!

Was that it?

So is this it? We’ve been waiting over a decade and we simply get logos, a picture of Duke, some people wearing masks and that’s it? Wow! That all can be done in PowerPoint! =X Total stab in the heart by Apogee and 3D Realms! Maybe ten years ago this would be accepted but not now!

Even so, I can’t wait to play this game as the previous iteration of the game were classic! If you haven’t played them, shame on you! Go do so now!

Some comments mentioned how this game was just showing off a new DLC for Guitar Hero 3, among other hilarious comments…

This nice little perk for Firefox gets you up and running and playing over 2,000 NES games in a jiffy! Yes that’s right! While your lab instructor, boss, or anyone was thinking you were busily completing work on the computer, you can be playing as Solid Snake in the First Metal Gear, or you can be everyone’s favorite bomber man, or heck, even Mario!

Yes, its free and I believe there is only keyboard support! Not bad eh? So what are you waiting for? Download FireNES for Firefox and get gaming!

GameStop online has currently introduced their PS3 Bundled with Metal Gear Solid! You can’t order online though, so I believe you must reserve them in store. The price tag? $559.98. Which includes the 80GB PS3, Metal Gear Solid, Metal Gear Bluetooth Headset, and more. You can check it out at GameStop.

I was hoping to see it around the estimated $500 Engadget had previously claimed. Even so, the $559.98 doesn’t seem to bad, with the fact that it included the game, and a headset so we could pretend to be Solid Snake during the actual game.

For more information on Metal Gear Solid 4 check out IGN.

I personally plan to buy one with Metal Gear Solid, and maybe the new Guitar Hero ( which seems to be similar to Rock Band…so why not Guitar, Drum, and Mic Hero? since its no longer just Guitars. )
