Wordpress is a very friendly CMS (Content Management System) that allows anyone without any programming knowledge whatsover to start blogging quickly upon installation. Wordpress.com boasts nearly 4 million Wordpress users!

As I mentioned in my previous post, all the previous blogs I mentioned, are possible to create using, or might already be using Wordpress! In other words, you can create a high quality blog with Wordpress. We use Wordpress as well here at Talk Binary.

So how do I start?

Simply head over to Wordpress.com and register if you don’t already own your own domain! Registration takes as little as five minutes. You’ll then be owning something such as http://username.wordpress.com

Why learn about a blog? They are popping everywhere on the internet and some of the top sites now are considered to be blogs. Did you know that? Many avid readers have never been exposed to a blog before and have been interested in this new experience. That’s why here at Talk Binary we want to educate you about them and show you how to make one in the process for those who want to share their wealth of knowledge without really knowing anything about web design! You really don’t need to know anything to start a blog! I’ll show you how.

What is a blog anyway?

A blog, short for web blog, is a website maintained by a “blogger” who wishes to share his experiences, hobbies, interests, passions and other information with individuals interested in the topic of the blogger’s choice. A blog stands out from a website as it allows the blogger to easily post entries on his/her subject which in return can be commented by the visitors to maintain a conversation providing feedback, and possibly more information on the related topic. In other words, a blog is something anyone can express their interests, passions, or hobbies. It can be related to an online diary.
