So what do you think Steve has up his sleeve this year?
There has been hundreds rumors all over the internet and especially on MacRumors on what type of upgrades we might see for the lines of iPods as well as the revealing of a new product perhaps, iTV?
I was recently asked by a friend of mine what I thought was going to revealed and here’s a brief list.
What we think will be revealed that day
- iPod Nano might lose its click wheel and its screen may turn into a touch screen. Source: Boy Genius Report
- Given that the iPod Nano will become smaller, either the Nano or Shuffle will cease from production as they would be similar in size
- An iPod Touch with Retina Display/512MB of Ram/Gyroscope/3MP Rear Facing Camera/VGA with FaceTime/Microphone. Why such a big bump? It’d hurt the App Store if the new iPod Touch wasn’t up to par with the iPhone 4 in terms of processing power. And FaceTime because its led to believe you’ll be able to call people using e-mail addresses. Source:MacRumor Forums
- Update to iTunes Music Service? Maybe a new interface?
- iTV. I haven’t followed this too much since I don’t even watch TV nowadays but it seems Apple is interested in renovating how we watch TV for awhile
I’m personally interested in purchasing a new iPod Touch. As an upcoming graduate student, I expect to be on campus nearly all the time so why not make a one time purchase and not have to pay for a smart phone (Cost Comparison: Current Crop of Smartphones: A Cost Feature Comparison).
So what do you think Steve will be revealing at this event? I just know one thing for sure, Steve Jobs will be rocking his famous look.
