How does Pandora Work?

Pandora was meant to be a Music Genome Project created by several musicians to deeply analyze music. They went on by analyzing different traits of a song by the instruments played, tempo, rhythm, melody, and more. They did this for many genres and hundreds of songs as well which makes up for their huge library of songs. Source

What does Pandora offer?

Pandora allows you to tune in to a station by typing in your favorite song or artist. Pandora will then most likely display a song from that artist or the song you chose itself. You may either give songs a positive, negative, or no feedback at all. You may even Pause, Play, or Skip the song. Based on your preferences, you’ll be receiving songs based on your taste.

You can also view more information about the artists, purchase the song on Amazon or iTunes, search other stations, go mobile, enjoy their video series and more!

You may register an account to keep track of all the “stations” you create, your music preference, and the songs and artists you either give negative or positive feedback in your own profile. You may also bookmark the songs or artists. Registration is free and takes less than two minutes!

You can also share music with friends, find new ones, and discover what other people are listening to.
